London Liverpool Street put on lockdown over suspicious vehicle

Cops blocked off the A10 Bishopsgate from the intersection of the A1211 (Wormwood Street and Bevis Marks) near Heron Tower towards London Liverpool Street station at 10.36pm on Monday.

A lorry was seen behind the cordon with its hazards on – but City of London police have not confirmed details.

The City of London Police have now tweeted Bishopsgate has been reopened.

DIVERSIONS: Traffic is being diverted

A Daily Star Online reporter, Rory McKeown, who is at the scene at the time of the lockdown said his bus had been diverted from the area.

Despite the roadblocks, people are believed to be allowed to walk through the area.

The Daily Star Online contacted the City of London Police – but a spokesman said he could not comment if there was an ongoing investigation into the incident
